Ayrton Senna's Principles Of Race Drivin
Ayrton Senna was still racing Karts when I started my Karting career, so he was a hero of mine, still is. Stealing Speed by Mat Oxley
Possibly one of the most famous and certainly sought after Motorcycle Racing books of all time. Magnificent Obsession- Bryan Apps
I have a couple of copies of this great book for the BRM fan. Bryan, a lifelong racing enthusiast, created a BRM scrapbook at the age of 13, with Raymond Mays writing its foreword In 1952. Daijiro Kato Tribute Book
This softback book was produced as a tribute to a great rider, sadly lost to the world after an accident in the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka in April 2003. He had won the All Japan 250cc championship before entering GPs. He won the 2001 250cc World Championship, and was 7th in the 500 series in 2002, becoming 'Rookie Of The Year', as well as being twice joint winner of the Suzuka 8-Hour race. When Kenny Roberts says he thinks Freddie was the most naturally talented rider he'd ever rode against, you know that's a compliment worth listening too. Freddie tells all in this Autobiography, and it makes for interesting reading.1985 was the year he'd be remembered for most winning both the 250 and 500cc titles in the same year. Bob McIntyre By Mick Walker
This quietly spoken Scot was respected by everyone in the sport, and by the fans. Possibly best known these days for his rides on the Italian Gilera machines, and of course the very first 100mph lap at the TT, but Bob spent most of his career riding British Machines.The sport lost Bob after a spill at Oulton Park in 1962. I consider myself very lucky to have known Mick Walker. We often met up at bike meetings around the country, and always had each other laughing whilst enjoying our favourite sport. Mike Hailwood - by Mick Walker
This one is titled, 'The Fans Favourite', and that was pretty much the case. Very much as with Valentino Rossi in modern times, Mike was a hugely popular figure despite his great success. Unusual as the British tend to support the underdog. Hugely respected by all those he raced against, and also classed by Ago as a true gentleman.
